Liberty House was a series of craft cooperatives back in late 60s-early 70s that were formed as a way fulfilling black empowerment. There were about 16 of them that made all sorts of crafts that were then sent to the Liberty House in Jackson, MS, who then sent them to Liberty Houses across the nation. One Liberty House in Greenwich Village was clerked by Abbie Hoffman. Kind of like crafts Christmas elves, MS style.

This service will be led on Zoom by Dr. Tom Kersen, Associate Professor of Sociology at Jackson State University. His research interests include sociology of religion and spirituality, population studies, military sociology, civic roles and the need for liberal arts and humanities in the public arena, and community and communal living
