Sticking with Love

,

Martin Luther King Jr. once said, “I have decided to stick with love. Hate it too great a burden to bear.” We are people who claim “love” as the only doctrine of our church, and this Sunday we kick off our UU tradition of 30 Days of Love, from Martin Luther King Jr. Sunday to Valentine’s Day. By any basic understanding, the last few weeks has been traumatic. With Covid-19 and the violence at the US Capitol, love might seem complicated. Love, however, is a gateway to peace. This Sunday we will reflect on the words of Martin Luther King Jr. and how we can move forward during this complicated time.
