From Dressmaker to Reverend – UUJXN Forms a Minister


This Sunday, we will hear from Nana’ Kratochvil, retired UU Minister, whose UU journey included time with UUJXN.

Nana’ Kratochvil was born and grew up in southern Illinois. She attended the University of Illinois and graduated from Columbus College in Georgia. She is also a graduate of Meadville Lombard Theological School. Before attending Meadville Lombard, she lived in Jackson, Mississippi and attended UUJXN. Rev. Nana was an excellent seamstress and while living in Jackson, she opened and ran Nana’s Custom Clothing. After serving churches in Michigan, Kratochvil moved to Macon, Georgia in 2015. In Georgia, she is an active member of the High Street UU Church and previously served as a past president of the UU Mid South District Board.
