Come celebrate together with people of all ages as we engage in Halloween customs and traditions, paint/carve pumpkins, and play a few games. Wear your festive clothes/costumes and bring harvest-inspired dishes – corn, potatoes, winter squash, pumpkin, or scary treats to share. This will be an intergenerational CUUPS service. A Justice Seeking People

The UUCJ congregation affirmed a statement in support of Black Lives Matter to demonstrate our commitment to challenging long-standing racism and systems of oppression that impact people based on class, gender identity, sexual orientation, ability, and language. Black Lives Matter is an affirmation of the contributions of African Americans to this society and humanity.

A Welcoming Congregation

Religious spaces have not always been welcoming places for people of all genders and sexual orientations. The spiritual practice of welcoming is a very important one to our faith community. We work hard to make sure all people, including lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer people, are welcomed as full members of our faith community. Soul Matters – Digging Deep August 23, 2019
Beginning in September, UUCJ will join Unitarian Universalist Congregations around the country in implementing Soul Matters monthly thematic exploration. By weaving each month’s theme into our worship, religious exploration, and small groups we will enable parents, children, and the whole church to engage in a spiritual journey together each month.
