Due to workplace rules, especially in public sector positions, some members of minority religious communities are still forced to decide between serving their communities and honoring their religious identities. As people of a non-creedal faith tradition that recognizes many sources of wisdom and religious understanding, Unitarian Universalists are called to affirm religious plurality and to support the rights of other religious minorities to practice their faith as they are called. However, this can be a double-edged sword as recent attempt to “protect religious freedom” have been little more than attempts to legalize discrimination on the basis of religious belief.

Patricia Ice will facilitate a discussion of these thorny issues while we play rounds of dominoes! Come prepared for lively discussion and fun!
