11:00 a.m. Worship – Body Image, Beauty Pageants, and UUs, with Ann Maclaine
How does our UU principle of respect for the inherent worth and dignity of every person operate within a culture that seems obsessed with narrow, unachievable notions of physical “beauty” and idealized body types? How can we raise awareness of the dangers to ourselves and others of making judgments based upon appearances? Will there ever by a UU Miss America?
