This year, the following positions are up for election:
President-Elect (Year 1 of 3-Year Term) – The President-Elect supports the President by filling in their absence and serves as the Co-Chair of the Ministry Council. [Note: This position is the first year of a three-year term, serving first as President-Elect, then as President, and finally as Past President. Candidates must make a three-year commitment to serve.]
Treasurer (2-Year Term) – The Treasurer maintains the permanent financial records of UUJXN, including a record of all assets, including money and property, and expenditures, and prepares financial reports for the UUJXN.
1st Trustee (2-Year Term) – A Trustee serves as liaisons to the Board for members and friends of the congregation and carriers out assignments of the Board.
Calm Council (3 positions, 1-Year Term) – The Calm Council supports a healthy and safe church community by providing guidance to resolve interpersonal conflict among members, friends, and/or groups and uphold the UUJXN Behavioral Covenant. The CALM Council consists of three members in good standing, who are not on the Board.
Leadership Development Council (1 position, 3-Year Term) – The Leadership Development Council supports the development of quality leadership with the UUJXN and provides a slate of candidates to fill all elected positions. The LDC consists of the Past President (Chair) and three members in good standing, who are not on the Board. Each year, one member rotates off and another is added.
