9:30 a.m. — Adult RE: Spirit of Life: Exploring Spirituality for Unitarian Universalists, led by Stacy Callender
Join us for a combination of the 7th and 8th of our 9-session introductory course exploring Unitarian Universalist spirituality. Using the song “Spirit of Life” as a guide, we focuse on a different aspect of spiritual life. In this session, we will examine “Roots Hold Me Close: Traditions, Teachers, and Spiritual Formation” and “Wings Set Me Free: Hopes, Dreams, & Expanding Vision,” exploring how our roots, heritage, and traditions foster our spirituality and envisioning the next chapters of our spiritual journeys.
10:30 a.m. — Coffee Fellowship: Hospitality Team
Join us for a cup of coffee, a snack, and interesting conversations!
11:00 a.m. – Service: Blending of the Waters: UU Water Communion, led by Minister Justin McCreary
Please join us for our annual Blending of the Waters – Water Communion service. In this Unitarian Universalist tradition, members and friends bring a small amount of water from a place special to them or water, actual or representational, of their personal or spiritual journeys. During the service, one by one, each person will pour their water together into a large bowl telling why this water is special to them. The combined water is symbolic of our congregation and shared faith coming from many different sources. Afterwards some water will be set aside for future communions and the remainder will be used to water our memorial garden, reflecting our connection with members and friends no longer with us. This is an intergenerational service for all ages.
Childcare is available from 9:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
12:30 p.m. – Lunch Bunch
Join us at a local restaurant for food and fellowship!
REMEMBER: We will not hold a potluck luncheon this Sunday as the monthly potluck luncheon was moved up to coincide with the 65th Anniversary celebration.
