Community Garden and Water Ministry
UUJXN has begun working in partnership with the Mississippi Rising Coalition to plan how to use our facilities including our ground space and existing (though not currently functioning) well to provide fresh food and clean water for our neighborhood.
Community Garden
A garden is currently being planted to grow vegetables, fruits, and flowers for neighborhood. The garden has three raised beds located on the accessible patio on the south side of the warehouse to enable individuals of all ages and abilities to participate in planting, nurturing, and harvesting the garden.

Water Ministry
The UUJXN facilities are housed in a former water bottling facility with an existing well. Currently the well is not in use as the pump needs replacement. The UUJXN in partnership with the Mississippi Rising Coalition are seeking to replace the pump, restore the well, and offer clean water to our neighborhood to address the ongoing crisis with the Jackson water system. The water will also support the Community Garden.
