Soapbox Sunday 2022

This Sunday we will celebrate our annual tradition of Soap Box Sunday, a unique UUJXN service created by our late member Fran Leber.

Soap Box Sunday is held on the Sunday closest to July 4th and is an opportunity to exercise our Unitarian Universalist 5th Principle (the right of conscience and the use of the democratic process within our congregations and in society at large) and our American rights of free speech. During this service, everyone is encouraged to literally stand on their soapbox (if willing and able) to speak on any topic for two minutes. Speakers who exceed their two minutes will be “applauded off” their Soap Box, as needed.

This will be an in person service. Please see our policy for in person attendance. You are welcome to join us at 10:30 am for coffee, snacks, and socializing!

If you are unable to attend in person, you may participate online, including our virtual Coffee Social, via Zoom at 10:30 am (Central). Grab a cup of coffee (or your morning beverage) and chat with our online and in person community. Then watch the service live: https://zoom.us/j/91584017613?pwd=K1FhUXloMTBJdTRZN2NGZ3Y3VFNTZz09
