The year begins anew. It arises from a year of sadness and grief, love and joy — a year where hope burned and was dashed, only to seed hope again. Some hope bloomed like a flower, not really dying, as long as we remember nature must rest and renew.
A new year is coming, whether we want it to or not. A new year is coming, as a lantern aloft in the belfry of the northwest tower. I can hear the cries: The New Year is Coming! The New Year is Coming! And yet, are we prepared? Don’t worry because time is an illusion. All we must do is put one foot forward at a time.
This Sunday, we will host our annual burning bowl. Bring with you the bindings of your past to burn away in the flames
