Visitors Page

Our Minister, Board Members and the congregation make a special effort to welcome newcomers to the church. Below is some information you might find useful as a first time visitor to the church.

When Should I Arrive?

On Sundays, we generally open the buildings about 10 to 30 minutes before the forum, and our regular schedule leaves about 30 minutes between Forum and our Sunday Worship service. Coffee and conversation is offered at this time.

In order to make sure you get a prime parking space, and have time to settle in, we suggest you plan to arrive at least 15 minutes before Sunday services. For other services, we open the buildings shortly before the scheduled activity. Plan to arrive about 10 minutes before the scheduled activity.

What Should I Wear?

We suggest that you wear clothes that are comfortable. While you are certainly welcome to come in your finest suit or dress, you find the majority of our members dress more in a business casual style.

In contrast, many of our children attend services in play clothes. Besides having time for outside play (weather permitting) before and after services, the children often have art or craft projects. While we do provide smocks and try to keep messes to a minimum, accidents do happen on occasion.

Should I Bring Anything With Me?

Everything you will need for most services will be provided by the church. We do have some special services when we ask people to bring things. We also regularly schedule a Pot Luck Lunch after services one Sunday a month. We suggest you check our Home Page to see if this Sunday is one of those special days. You are welcome to attend these services without bringing the suggested items, and we always have extra for Pot Luck!

Is There Childcare?

Childcare and nursery care are provided during Forum and Church services on Sunday. See the Children's Religious Education Page for detailed information on children's programming currently offered during service. You are welcome to keep your children of any age with you during service if you prefer.

How will I be Greeted?

We make every effort to greet first time visitors as you arrive. We all wear name tags, and you will be asked to make a name tag for yourself as well. We begin our services with announcements which always includes a welcome to our visitors. We ask if visitors would be willing to provide your name. If this idea makes you uncomfortable, you may ignore the request.
