Social Justice

We are committed to social justice within our congregation, our community, and our larger world. We are called by our faith tradition to be the change we want to see in the world. We at UUCJ have a long history of putting our faith into action from the civil rights and women's movement in the 1960s and 1970s to LGBTQ equality and immigrant rights struggles today.

On February 5th we will meet to plan our social justice focus for 2012. Please plan to attend and actively participate.

North Korean Human Rights Crisis

Even if you missed the film, you can still help refugees trying to reach freedom!

Hiding Teaser II from LiNK Global on Vimeo.

Liberty in North Korea (LiNK) is the only grassroots organization in North America working full-time on the North Korean human rights issue. You can help them by becoming part of a local chapter or donating directly to help North Korean refugees hiding in China today as they attempt to escape the starvation and oppression of the totalitarian regime of Kim Jong Il. Through LiNK’s networks, these refugees can be helped and given new lives in South Korea or America.
