The Beginnings of Wisdom

Due to the COVID-19 outbreak, no in-person services will be held until further notice. Services will be livestreamed beginning this Sunday on the Unitarian Universalist Church of Jackson Facebook Page. Please stay safe and practice social distancing! For your protection and ours: PLEASE DO NOT SHOW UP TO THE BUILDING!

Service information:

Proverbs 1:7 says “The fear of God is the beginning of wisdom.” Winnie the Pooh said “I am a bear of very little brain and big words bother me.” Regardless of who said what, the Dude abides, and we can take comfort in that!

The Hebrew Bible refers to wisdom as the tree of life. As Unitarian Universalists, we invest in life, working to build a beloved community where all are free to live in communion with each other and the world around us. Building that community will take wisdom.

So, this Sunday, we will reflect on the beginnings of wisdom that support beloved community and life.
