Fred (as he prefers to be called), is our consulting minister at Unitarian Universalist Church of Jackson. He was ordained in 2007 at the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Danbury in Connecticut. Fred received his Masters of Divinity from Meadville Lombard Theological School in Chicago, Illinois. Prior to becoming a minister, Fred worked for many years as a Clinical Specialist with Developmentally Disabled Adults before becoming the co-founder of Interfaith AIDS Ministry of Greater Danbury where he served as President of the board and then Executive Director. Fred grew up in rural New York State in Cahoonzie, a small hamlet outside of Port Jervis, New York near the New Jersey and Pennsylvania borders. There he enjoyed hiking through his grandparents wooded lands. Nature still informs his spirituality. He also is an avid amateur genealogist tracing his family tree back to before colonial America and discovering a high percentage of Hammond ministers along the way. He enjoys science fiction, foreign films, theater and poetry. Fred also serves the Our Home Universalist Unitarian Church in Ellisville, MS. Usual office hours for two weeks of the month in Jackson will be Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursdays 10 AM -12Noon; 4:00 PM-6 PM. Fred is available other times by appointment.
