Covenant Groups Covenant Groups are all about cultivating healthy relationships. We are a diverse congregation in a city of diversity, and we gain so much by spending time together, respectfully listening to one another in a spirit of community. The "covenant" part of Covenant Group just means that we seriously agree to treat each other with dignity and worth. We agree to actively listen to one another, so that everyone present can speak without fear of rebuke or debate. We agree not to abuse confidence and to practice understanding and compassion. Having said all that, it is worth noting that Covenant Group meetings tend to be very lively and stimulating. It is extremely refreshing to be yourself in a small group of trustworthy people who genuinely find you trustworthy as well. Covenant Groups meet once or twice monthly, which varies from group to group. Meeting time/place information is usually readily available via the church website and NUUsletter, which is mailed out monthly to anyone who requests it (without charge). Covenant Groups intentionally meet on separate schedules to accommodate different lifestyles. Try it. You'll like it!
